E+LTM is a non-profit organisation based in Nairobi Kenya and committed to creating a differentiated breed of entrepreneurs across Africa who will transform economies by building long term brands into enduring global enterprises. We use short, medium and long term entrepreneurship mentorship and training programs for impact by leveraging the power of the “Paying It Forward” concept.
E+LTM has currently 3 flagship entrepreneurship mentorship walks; these are E+L WalkTM; E+L Youth WalkTM and the Women Mentoring Women WalkTM. E+LTM is also designing and developing other entrepreneurship innovations in collaboration with top global business and Ivy League schools and development partners.
The 10 year stretch goal is to effect 500 + businesses/entrepreneurs and bring down the attrition of emerging businesses to less than 20% - now at over 45% and also; enable 3mn youth become entrepreneurs and gain economic empowerment. So far over 500 mentees have benefitted from our programs.
Our partners include: over 300 mentors – all captains of industry; Goldman Sachs 10,000 women by USIU KENYA; Cartier Women's Initiative Awards, France [Cartier is in partnership with McKinsey and INSEAD France]; Muriu Mungai Advocates Kenya; Hewlett Packard East Africa; Coca-Cola East & Central Africa; Nestlé; American Embassy Kenya and Marketing Strategies & Solutions Kenya.
We have an established board of trustees and advisors from across the globe with impressive credentials and a passion for entrepreneurship and business leadership.
In the month of November 2008, a select group of Kenyan entrepreneurs and top business leaders were hosted by His Excellency the US Ambassador to Kenya, Michael Ranneberger at his residence for an initial coffee roundtable. During this breakfast the captains of industry shared ideas on how to leverage mentorship as a means of grooming the next generation of business talent in Kenya using the E+LTM Foundation model.
